ABOUT THE TOUR
The Takei World Tennis Tour has been created with the aim to fulfil the need for a transparent, reputable, professional tennis tour for the BLV (blind and low vision) tennis community, an offer which currently does not exist in the world. We chose the name Takei to honour the Japanese inventor of the sport, Miyoshi Takei, as a reminder of the dream that we share with him – to spread our beloved sport around the world.
ABOUT THE GAME
Blind and low vision (BLV) tennis, also known as visually impaired (VI) tennis uses the same principles as mainstream tennis with a small number of adaptations. The sport is played by thousands of players across the globe from grassroots clubs to grand slams.
