Entries have now closed for the Loughborough Visually Impaired Tennis Tournament organised by the Lawn Tennis Association which takes place at Loughborough University Tennis Centre on 25th–26th April 2026. The tournament, which features on the Takei Tour calendar as a tier 250 event, has attracted a strong international field with a total of 51 entries.
In the B1 Men’s Singles, we can expect a highly contested draw headed by the world’s top three ranked players; Naqi Rizvi (GB), Carlos Arbos (ESP) and Karolis Verbliugevicius (LTU). World No. 1, Rizvi, will look to reclaim the title after being defeated by European champion, Verbliugevicius, in last year’s edition. Arbos will be looking to continue his consistent international form and claim the title for the first time. The B1 Women’s Singles is also a competitive draw including four top 10 players; Kirstin Linck (GER), Bianka Graeming (GER), Yvette Priestley (GB) and Tracy Compton (GB) with Graeming looking to defend the title.
There’s a strong lineup in the B2 Men’s category featuring European Champion, Davide Viglianti (ITA), Vincent Keane (IRL), UK and Irish National Champion, and 2023 World silver medalist, Neil Balmforth (GB), who is returning to competition after a hiatus.
In the B3 Men’s category, European silver medalist, Michal Stypa (POL), is favoured to win the title, whilst in the Women’s category, Louise Evans (GB) will be looking to be crowned champion once again.
In the B4 Women’s category, European silver medalist, Rosie Pybus (GB), enters the competition as top seed. In the B4 Men’s category, World No. 2, Ivan Rodriguez Deb (GB), will look to claim his fifth title in Loughborough in a draw featuring three top 10 players.
